The Salida Community Center will be holding their next food distribution on Wednesday beginning at 10 am.
Food will include meat, canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, and pastries. The Colorado Humanists will be handing out personal hygiene items.
You will not be asked to show proof of income or sign any papers. You will only be asked your name, address, and number of people in your household. You will be able to stay in your car and volunteers will load the food for you. Approach the Community Center from the south on F Street.
The SalidaCommunity Center is located at 3rd and F Street in downtown Salida and serves families of Salida, Buena Vista and the surrounding area.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
