The Salida City Council this week passed an ordinance imposing a temporary moratorium on issuing new applications for short-term rental business licenses.
Two amendments were put into place by council. They shortened the time period of the moratorium from nine months to three months. Council also said that “the moratorium shall not apply to those properties already governed by existing planned development agreements.”
The Salida City Council also this week voted to adopt a Climate Action Plan for the city. Mayor P.T. Wood said the plan was put together over the last 18 months to help the city be more sustainable in the future.
