Nine Destination Imagination teams from Salida and Buena Vista competed in Pueblo this past weekend—and all nine teams qualified for the state competition on April 5.
Competing against 52 other teams, these students showcased their talents in creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration through STEAM-based challenges.
The teams represent students from:
- Salida Montessori
- Longfellow Elementary
- Crest Academy
- Salida Middle School
- Buena Vista schools
- Home school programs
Destination Imagination is an international competition that encourages students from kindergarten through 12th grade to develop innovation and teamwork skills. With a strong showing at regionals, these teams now set their sights on state-level success next month.
