Roberta Rodriguez and Amy Lovato made their first court appearance Tuesday, Jan. 31st.

The proceeding didn’t last long as Judge Dianna Bull disqualified herself from the case due to the fact that she herself is a parent of a Schoolhouse child. Chief Judge Patrick Murphy is scheduled to appoint a new judge for the case.   

Rodriguez and Lovato each face misdemeanor charges of failure to report child abuse and knowingly placing a child in a situation that poses a threat of injury.
