The construction season is about to begin and the City of Salida has announced 2023 improvement projects.
Poncha Boulevard streetscape improvements include the addition of sidewalks, bike lanes, water and sewer utility upgrades and open space improvements. Work will begin in March and will include improvements from Crestone Avenue to Grant Street. A final phase of construction from Grant Street to Holman Avenue is anticipated to be completed in 2024.
Reconstruction of 10th Street from J to D Street is also scheduled to be completed this summer.
Each of these projects are expected to have periodic closures and detours throughout the course on construction with access limited to local traffic.
