Given the immense strains on youth and educators, Full Circle Restorative Justice Executive Director sought out grant funds to get more support for local schools.
Through a generous grant from Caring for Colorado, FCRJ is now able to pay for wellbeing and mental health services for youth, educators and school staff. This funding helps extend the FCRJ Restorative Schools program and Restorative Juvenile Diversion services in a vital way.
“After hearing from young people about the strains of this last year, anxiety about the coming year and talking with teachers and school leaders, I had to look for a better way to support them,” explains Parker. “Not to mention the fact that participants and victims in our diverted cases are needing mental health and substance use services to
complete the program successfully” she continues.
With the funding FCRJ has hired Carey Cloud, Restorative Justice Care Facilitator to coordinate the payment of services and help get people connected to the programs they need. The program is designed to give individuals the freedom to decide what supports they need for the coming year whether it be a Solvista, a private provider or a self-care
activity that will bolter resilience. For more information us at 719-530-5597 or programs@fullcirclerj.org.
