U.S. Representative Doug Lamborn has announced that he is retiring from the U.S. House of Representatives.

The congressman said he will leave at the end of 2024 when his term expires. He has held his current office in Colorado’s 5th District since 2007.

All three of Colorado’s congressional districts currently held by Republicans will be up for grabs in this year’s election. Rep. Ken Buck announced he would not seek a sixth term representing Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. In response, Rep. Lauren Boebert announced she would abandon her bid for reelection in Colorado’s 3rd District and instead run for Buck’s vacated seat.
