This past weekend, the Renewal Festival featuring Billy Strings took place at The Meadows in Buena Vista, drawing around 7,500 attendees for a weekend of music and fun. However, the festival took an unexpected turn when headliner Billy Strings had to leave on Friday to be with his wife, who had gone into labor with their first child.

Although festival-goers were initially disappointed by the news, other performers stepped in to deliver a memorable weekend. Now, Bonfire Entertainment, the festival’s producer, and TIXR, the ticketing company, are offering full refunds for general admission and VIP ticket holders.

In an email to attendees, the organizers expressed deep gratitude for the support shown during the festival, acknowledging that the weekend didn’t unfold as expected. The email also emphasized community values like friendship, kindness, and togetherness, resonating with ticket holders in a heartfelt way. “We want to extend our deepest gratitude for being a part of an extraordinary Renewal.  Your overwhelming show of support, kindness, and positivity truly made this year an unforgettable experience.  We recognize that this year was not what you expected, and we truly appreciate you sticking with us.”

Refunds will be processed starting Friday, October 4th, with attendees advised to allow 5–10 business days for the funds to appear in their accounts. Despite the unexpected change in plans, the Renewal Festival was a success, leaving festival-goers with positive memories of the weekend.
