The Salida City Council to hold a public hearing tonight at 6 to enter an agreement between Salida, Chaffee County, Buena Vista and Poncha Springs to determine local government shares of the State of Colorado Opioid settlement.

Salida City Council members will also vote on an ordinance authorizing the financing of the new fire station with Certificates of Participation. It is anticipated that the annual rent payable by the city will not exceed $1.4 million for the principal amount under the lease of $17.5 million. The maximum interest shall not exceed 5.75% and the total repayment cost shall not exceed $40.8 million.

A work session will take place before the regular meeting at 5pm where council will discuss Short Term Rental revenue.
