Local residents along Highway 291 west of Salida are urging drivers to remain vigilant for a herd of pronghorn that cross the highway twice daily—once in the morning and again in the late afternoon—near Chaffee County Road 190 West.
Multiple pronghorn have already been hit due to the absence of warning signs. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and stay alert to prevent further accidents.
