The Poncha Springs Trustees have voted to place a 1 percent sales tax increase on the November ballot. If approved, this increase would bring the total sales tax rate for Poncha Springs to 3%, matching the rate in Salida.
According to the ballot language, the additional revenue would be allocated to address “unmet town needs, including law enforcement and parks and recreation.”
