During their regular meeting this week, Poncha Springs Trustees approved a measure to increase the annual licensing fee for short-term rentals. Trustees increased the annual fee to $1,000 for a new license, up from $125, and $500 for a renewal. The old fee for a renewal was $75.
Poncha Springs Trustees also voted to close the town dump. At issue is the dumping of illegal items like electronics and target shooting that is taking place. A No Shooting sign will be posted in the area.
Trustees also voted to move board meetings to the fourth Tuesday of each month.
