The Fremont County Sheriff has confirmed that a plane ‘went down’ on Department of Corrections property near Canon City.
Sheriff Allen Cooper says that two people were airlifted from the scene, it is being reported that 3 people were on the plane. The parties involved have not been identified.
The plane crashed at 2 pm yesterday afternoon immediately east of Canon City and south of Highway 50, near the Super Max Prison.
