Meet Ella! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pets of the Week!
Ella is a 12 year old female domestic shorthair mix who was surrendered to the shelter with 3 other felines when their Ella is a 1 year old female Pit Bull terrier mix. She was transferred in from Roswell, New Mexico last month with several other dogs. They all got adopted very quickly, but unfortunately Ella did not get much interest, so she is now staying in a foster home. She does great with other dogs, and enjoys playing in her foster’s backyard and cuddling on the couch in the evenings. We think Ella would make a great dog for the lucky family who gets her!

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:
- Spay or Neuter
- Age-appropriate boosters
- De-wormer
- Vaccines
- Microchip
The Ark Valley Humane Society is open by appointment only, make sure to call (719) 395-2737 and schedule an appointment before coming to the shelter!
Fosters Needed
Fosters needed! We’re looking for adult dog and cat fosters to help give some of our shelter animals a break from the kennel environment. If interested please start by filling out a foster application at ark-valley.org. We will provide you with all the needed supplies, you provide the loving, temporary home!
