Jon and Carie Hallford, the co-owners of the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose where 190 decomposing bodies were found improperly stored, are back in court today. The Hallfords are facing over 200 charges related to the improperly stored bodies along with alleged money laundering, theft, and forgery. The two were offered plea deals by the state where they each would receive 20 years in prison for a guilty plea. They are expected to enter not-guilty pleas at their hearing today, setting the process in motion for a jury trial.
