One man is dead following a 3-car crash over the weekend on Colorado 69 just south of Westcliffe over the weekend.   

The Colorado State Patrol says a semi-truck with trailer traveled through a sweeping curve rolling over, crushing one vehicle and hitting another head on.   

The driver of the semi, a 69-year-old North Carolina man, was transported to Parkview Hospital with minor injuries. The 60-year-old male driver of the crushed car was pronounced dead at the scene, he was from Westcliffe. The 28-year-old male driving the vehicle that was hit head on was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, he was visiting from Arkansas. 

Excessive speed is begin investigated as the factor in the crash.
