More charges were filed yesterday in the Morphew case.

Barry Morphew, Suzanne Morphew’s husband, accused in her murder, was charged yesterday with submitting a presidential ballot in her name.

Morphew was recently arrested on charges of murdering his wife Suzanne, after she disappeared a year ago. She still has yet to be found.

Court documents show he now faces one felony county for allegedly forging public documents and a misdemeanor mail in ballot offense.

According to the arrest affidavit, investigators responded to the Chaffee County Clerk’s Office after the clerk made a report of alleged voter fraud in October of last year. The clerk told investigators that they had received a presidential ballot from Suzanne even though she was missing.

The ballot did not contain Suzanne’s signature, but it did list Barry as the witness.

On April 22, Barry was asked by FBI agents why he submitted a ballot for Suzanne, he answered “Just because I wanted Trump to win… I know she was going to vote for him anyways.” They also said he thought the “other guys” were cheating so he would “give Trump another vote.”

Barry Morphew continues to be held in the Chaffee County Jail on a no bond hold.  He is scheduled to make his next court appearance on May 27th.
