Going into the final few days before the election, Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell is reporting that as of Nov. 3rd, 6,032 ballots had been returned to the clerk’s office, or 38% of registered voters in the county. 

Of those, 40% have been from Unaffiliated voters, 31% from Democrats and 27% from Republican voters.    

It is too late to mail your ballot. Voters can visit a vote center or come to the election office to get a ballot or drop off a ballot.   

  • The Salida vote center is open at the Scout Hut 8 am to 4 pm today and 8 am to noon tomorrow.   
  • The Buena Vista vote center at the Community Center opens today. 
  • The vote center in Poncha Springs will be open on Election Day.
