A tragic accident occurred yesterday morning in Park County, resulting in the death of a motorcycle rider after a collision with a semi-truck.
The Colorado State Patrol reported that the crash took place at 11:30 a.m. in Hartsel, right at the junction of Highway 24 and Highway 9. The details of the incident are still under investigation.
In a separate incident around the same time, traffic was halted for several hours on Highway 285 north of Fairplay due to a motorhome that caught fire and was engulfed in flames.
