Ark Valley Humane Society has recently received a few shy cats, like 1 year-old Pidgey. Pidgey was a transfer from another shelter and is often hidden away in her kennel.
AVHS has protocols for shy cats to slowly and safely help them become more comfortable with the new environment and people they encounter at the shelter. More and more, Pidgey has been feeling more comfortable. Since she is up to date on her vaccinations, she is allowed to free roam and for the first time yesterday, she came out of her kennel and explored!
This girl loves getting pets as well. Pidgey is looking for someone who will give her time to open up and show off just how sweet she is!
During this giving time of year there are many ways you can help the homeless pets of AVHS. You can donate in many ways including monetary donations, toys, food, and items on our wish list. You can also purchase a limited edition t-shirt to show your support of AVHS. Volunteering and fostering are also helpful during the cold months and give shelter animals a break from the kennel environment. Check out all the ways you can give on our website ark-valley.org.
