Ark-Valley Humane Society really appreciates Heart of the Rockies Radio News for featuring our shelter animals for Pet of the Week, especially because some animals don’t get as much attention. This is the case for 2 year-old Cookie. When people come into the shelter to look at cats, you may not automatically see her. Cookie is usually curled up in her kennel sleeping and isn’t as noticeable. When you let Cookie free roam in the cat room, her personality shines! She likes to explore and go out on the catio. Cookie also enjoys getting pets and love. Give Cookie a chance and come meet her!
Since she is Pet of the Week, Cookie’s adoption fees are 50% off until next Wednesday.
Events: Next Monday, October 7th, is the launch of our Feline & Fido Photo Calendar Contest! You can enter an adorable photo of your pet into the contest to be featured in the 2025 AVHS Calendar. Once entered, friends, family, and the public can vote on their favorite photo. The top 12 contestants will be featured for each calendar month and everyone who enters will get a smaller photo somewhere on the calendar. Plus, the top 3 photos will get some great prizes! Proceeds go towards the shelter and care of homeless pets!
