Colorado marijuana sales hit a record $1.75 billion in sales in 2019, up 13 percent from 2018.
The Colorado Department of Revenue is also reporting that marijuana tax collections hit an all time high, at more that $302 million last year. Those taxes are allocated to the state’s public education fund, which covers initiatives such as the Building Excellent Schools Today fund; substance abuse and treatment programs, youth education, and local governments.
Cannabis sales have now reached a total of $7.79 billion in the 6 years since legalization.
