October 7, 1935 ~ October 11, 2024 (age 89)
Loretta Mosley (Wakley) born 10-7-35 in Telluride, CO, died where she always considered home in Leadville on 10-11-2024.  She said she didn’t want an obituary because she “didn’t accomplish anything”, however her survivors would argue with that. Loretta met Johnny Mosley in 1952. They married in June shortly after and she finally admitted she was not quite 18.  She had two children. Linda and John, 3 grandchildren who she adored and imparted so much patience and life skills to.  She had 6 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Loretta was always quick to tell a joke and give a wry smile. Her penchant for conversation was like no other. She passed surrounded by her 4 best girls gossiping away around her as she would have wanted, and her two dogs Charlie and Rosie.

Loretta is survived by her son John (Edith), her son in law Gordon, her granddaughter Mandi (Cindy) who cared for her after John died and grandsons Dee (Ang) and Doug, as well as her adopted granddaughters Judi and Sam (Eli) and adopted great grandson Chase. She also adopted Raynor, Miranda and Louella into her family.  She would also thank Jordan and Helen for caring for her and keeping her in her home as long as possible.

Per her request, there will be no services, and she will be interred with her husband, her daughter and parents nearby. In lieu of donations, flowers or cards, please donate https://www.ark-valley.org/donate/ or even better adopt a pet from your local animal shelter.
