Investigators have arrested Jason Hobby of Loveland in connection with the Alexander Mountain Fire, which officials determined was human-caused. The fire originated from a campfire ring, leading to Hobby’s arrest on felony arson charges. Hobby, an employee at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, is also facing charges of impersonating a police officer after reportedly stopping travelers near ranch property, claiming they were trespassing, and pointing a firearm at them.
Hobby is currently being held in the Larimer County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
