Jacqueline Ann Cotter-Kirtley, age 69, long time Salida resident passed away on March 1, 2024 at her home in Salida.
Mrs. Cotter-Kirtley was born January 5, 1955 in Evergreen Park, IL to William Daniel and Dorothy Hildegard (Tholl) Cotter. Jacque attended Fort Lewis College in Durango where she met her husband Michael and went on to share a 45 year marriage. During her time in College, Jacque was an enthusiastic tour guide at Mesa Verde. With a shared love of the outdoors, Jacque and Mike and Kyle enjoyed backpacking as a family, they also enjoyed building homes and exploring the night sky.
Mrs. Cotter-Kirtley was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Karen Cotter. She is survived by her husband Michael Kirtley, and son Kyle (Megan Gleason) Kirtley. Siblings Donald Cotter, Colette (Barry) Barger, Anette (Gary) McMahan and many nieces and nephews.
