The National Weather Service is tracking multiple snow producing storm systems that are expected to move across the Rockies starting Friday night and continue through Christmas Day Monday.

The storms will bring much cooler temperatures and the possibility of up to a foot of new snow in the mountains and a wintry mix of rain and snow in the lower terrain.

Snow, blowing snow, and slick roads will make travel hazardous over area mountain passes. If you’re planning on travelling this weekend for Christmas, check cotrip.org for the latest road conditions.
