SALIDA, Colo.— Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is thrilled to welcome board-certified Allergist and Immunologist Michael Flais, M.D., to HRRMC’s medical staff.
Dr. Flais will see patients full-time at the HRRMC Allergy Clinic, located in the Outpatient Pavilion on HRRMC’s main campus in Salida.
“As one of few areas in rural Colorado that offers allergy/immunology and asthma services, we see people travel from outlying areas of 30 or more miles away to access these services,” said Bob Morasko, HRRMC CEO. “We are elated Dr. Flais has joined our clinic full-time in order to meet the high demand we see for these resources, making them more available to our community and beyond.”
Dr. Flais earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine as well as a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois.
Following his training, Dr. Flais spent almost 20 years in private clinic as a partner at Associated Allergists and Asthma Specialists in Naperville and Orland Park, Illinois. Dr. Flais most recently worked at both Colorado State University Health Center, and Colorado Allergy & Asthma Centers in Fort Collins, Colorado.
When not seeing patients in clinic, Dr. Flais enjoys running, hiking, skiing and biking.
