Highway 50 has reopened after a rock slide Wednesday night temporarily blocked both lanes of traffic west of Howard near the Rincon Campground.
The slide occurred in the evening, forcing the highway to close for nearly four hours. Crews worked diligently to clear the debris, allowing traffic to resume just before 10 PM.
Drivers are reminded to exercise caution when traveling in areas prone to rockslides, especially during changing weather conditions.
