Governor Jared Polis has issued a “Stay-at-home” order for the entire state that began at 6 am this morning and continues through April 11th.
The order is meant to stem the spread of the coronavirus by minimizing contact between residents to the greatest extent possible.
It is important to know what you can do and what services are still open.
- Grocery stores will remain open
- Restaurants will still be able to provide to-go and delivery service
- gas stations are still operating
Other businesses that will remain open are:
- liquor stores
- marijuana dispensaries
- pharmacies
- laundromat
- child care facilities
- firearm dealers
- auto supply stores and mechanics
- banks
- hardware and farm supply stores.
Your trash will still get picked up and your mail delivered. All emergency services will stay in place.
You are allowed to leave your homes to exercise, like hiking, biking and walking your dog, however, when you leave your home, whether to go to work or to the store, or to exercise, you should at all times comply with social distancing requirements, which is to maintain a distance of 6 feet from one another.
