In celebration of local foods and agritourism, Guidestone is looking forward to hosting the 9th Annual AgriSummit, focused on Grit in the Rural West: Connections for Resilience to be held in person in Salida, CO, Wednesday, March 6 – Friday, March 8.
On Wednesday, March 6, AgriSUmmit kicks off with A Farm Vision Course and a NextGen networking event for young and aspiring ranchers and farmers.
On Thursday, March 7, there will be a morning ranch workshop, and afternoon farm and ranch tours, followed by happy hour and a screening of the 2023 Tribeca Festival award-winning film: Common Ground.
On Friday there is a Full-day conference at the Salida SteamPlant Event Center highlights include a Welcome Address with CO Commissioner Kate Greenberg, and Keynote Speaker Robert Sakata (CO Dept. of Agriculture Ag Water Policy Advisor).
Other session topics include soil health in the arid West, land & water conservation, land access, farmer training, seed-keeping, production techniques at high altitude, agritourism, and more!
The day ends with an Open House and a Seed Swap for the whole community. This afternoon celebration includes an early-season farmers market, seed swap, libations tastings, live music with The Whiskey Sweets, and a cash bar. All are welcome!
Who is AgriSummit for? Aspiring and established farmers and ranchers, as well as ag service providers, local food enthusiasts, educators, and community members alike.
