Governor Jared Polis has declared a disaster emergency in response to a significant snowstorm affecting Colorado’s eastern plains and Front Range. With the declaration, members of the Colorado National Guard have been activated to assist with emergency response efforts.
In addition, the governor ordered state employees along the Front Range to work remotely today if possible, while essential public health and safety facilities remain open. The storm has already impacted travel, power, and essential services across affected regions as the state mobilizes resources to address the emergency.
