The ballot for the November 5th Election should be in your mail box.

All Colorado voters will decide two state questions:

Proposition CC asking voters to approve the state keep and spend all the revenue it annually collects to spend on schools, roads and bridges and transit.

Proposition DD would legalize sports betting through licensed Casinos with a 10 percent tax to fund state water projects.

Voters in the Salida School District will decide Ballot Question 5A. 5A asks school district patrons if they want to join the Colorado Mountain College taxing district.  If approved, property taxes for residential real estate would increase by some $29 per $100,00 of assessed value, commercial real estate property taxes would increase $116 per $100,000.

Voters in the Buena Vista School District will decide two school board races.  Jessica Crites takes on Nancy Best for the At Large, two year term and Stacey Moss and Nathaniel Weeks are running for the District A seat.

Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell says 14,000 ballots have been mailed and that if you don’t receive your ballot by Wednesday, call the elections office at 530-5606 or stop by the office at the Chaffee County Courthouse.
