GARNA Secures $100,000 Grant to Expand Outdoor Programs for Underserved Communities

The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Outdoor Equity Board and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This funding will support the expansion of outdoor recreation and education programs for underserved youth and families in the Upper Arkansas Valley.

Program Enhancements

• Chaffee Mobile Gear Library: Providing equipment to make outdoor activities accessible to all.
• Valley View Nature Learning Center: A new initiative to diversify learning opportunities.

• Enhance youth programs to foster a nature-conscious and ecologically informed upbringing.
• Remove barriers to outdoor recreation and education for underserved populations.
