A high wind watch is in effect for Friday and Saturday. Winds could gust up to 50 mph ahead of a cold front that will bring snow to the area.
The higher elevations could see gust of 85 mph Saturday.
The mountains could see up to 5 inches of new snow through Saturday. Little to no accumulation is expected for the valley.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 51, an overnight low of 29.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 49, a low of 23.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 37 with a low of 17.
