Former Florence City Manager Mike Patterson was in court yesterday to be advised on the charges he is facing.
As it stands, Patterson is being charged with two counts of Stalking-emotional distress, sexual contact-no consent and providing alcohol to a minor.
The judge said a special prosecutor should be brought in because of a potential conflict with the District Attorney’s Office.
According to the arrest affidavit, investigators interviewed multiple women who reported similar experiences of inappropriate behavior by Patterson. The affidavit also identifies three women as “victims” of unlawful behavior.
A status and motions hearing will be held next month.
