Fremont County Detectives have arrested former Florence City Council member Anthony Esquibel.
68-year-old Esquibel was taken into custody for sexual assault on a child, a class 4 felony. He is being held without bond at the Fremont County Jail.
Esquibel formerly served on the Florence City Council before resigning with 6 other council members back in March amid an ongoing corruption scandal in the city.
