The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is reporting the first COVID-19 related death in Colorado has occurred.
The death occurred in El Paso County at Memorial Hospital Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado and involved a female in her 80s.

Governor Jared Polis issued this statement: “While we were expecting this day, it doesn’t make it any less difficult to hear and share this news. As a state we are in mourning and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the Coloradan we lost.”
