Cloth face coverings continue to cause controversy, confusion, and unfortunately in some places violence.
Chaffee County Public Health is recommending the use of cloth face coverings as a public health intervention to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Public Health says asymptomatic people account for 40 percent of COVID-19 cases. Just staying home when you are sick is not enough. If you are asymptomatic, you could spread COVID-19 without knowing it—unless you wear a face mask indoors.
