Expect Road Construction on Highway 24 Near Fairplay and Highway 50 East of Gunnison

Travellers will experience road construction across the area.

Highway 24 remains closed between Antero Junction and Hartsell. The detour is to take Highway 285 to Fairplay then Highway 9 back to Hartsell. This section of Highway 24 will remain closed to traffic through May 7th.

Also, The Colorado Department of Transportation has resumed the improvement project on Highway 50 through Little Blue Creek Canyon just east of Gunnison.
