The Environmental Protection Agency has delayed the demolition of the Return to Nature Funeral Home.

The demolition was scheduled to begin Tuesday, Jan. 16th, but has been delayed due to logistical arrangements and cold temperatures.

At this time, the EPA has not set a new date for the demolition.

The EPA say that after a review of the building and property, it is necessary to destroy the building to safely remove biological and hazardous materials that were found in the building.

The Return to Nature Funeral Home came under investigation in October following reports of a foul odor in the area. Investigators said they found almost 200 bodies in various states of decomposition inside the building.
