The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a 1-vehicle crash that occurred on Colorado 50 MP 204 which is located near the summit to Monarch Pass.
A 2010 Kenworth semi was eastbound on Colorado 50. The semi failed to negotiate a left curve causing the vehicle to overturn down a steep embankment.
The driver a 43 year old male died in the crash. The semi fuel tanks leaked fuel into the nearby waterway. Brake fade is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation and witnesses are asked to call the Colorado State Patrol at 719-544-2424.
