A Cotopaxi man entered a not-guilty plea yesterday in the shooting death of 27-year-old Jonathon Kern last year.
63-year-old Earl “Scott” Watkins faces charges of reckless manslaughter and second degree assault, both Class 4 felonies, for the death of Kern who was gunned down near the driveway of a home on County Road 27A on September 28, 2018.
A seven day trial is schedule to begin February 11.
