Another bison has injured a tourist, this time from Colorado.
A 17 year old girl from Colorado was on a trail Saturday at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota when she walked between two bull bison which had been fighting. One bison charged, struck her in the back, wounded her thigh and tossed her in the air. The teen is in stable condition after being taken by helicopter to a Bismarck hospital.
Remember when visiting national parks and state parks, whether it is marked or not, be cautious when around wild animals and give them plenty of space.
