Colorado Snowpack Exceeds Average Levels Across the State

Colorado’s snowpack is off to a strong start this season, currently measuring 23% above average statewide.

The Upper Rio Grande and Gunnison basins have reached 145% of their average snowpack levels, while the Arkansas River basin leads the way at an impressive 169% above average.

These above-average snowpack levels are crucial for the state’s water resources and could bring significant benefits for agriculture, recreation, and reservoir storage in the coming months.
