The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed a portion of Colorado Highway 9 to replace a bridge north of Alma at the base of Hoosier Pass.
The bridge is located between County Roads 4 and 6. The full closure will stay in place for one week, until September 14th.
During the extended closure, all traffic will be detoured to Highway 24, Colorado 91 and I-70. This will make the trip from Fairplay to Breckenridge 120 miles, or about two and a half hours.
