Chaffee Rec Adopters Seeks Volunteers for Final Stewardship Event on National Public Lands Day

Chaffee Rec Adopters is calling for volunteers to join their last stewardship event of the season this Saturday, in celebration of National Public Lands Day. The event will focus on campsite cleanup along the Arkansas River near Wellsville, at the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area site known as Woody’s.

Volunteers will assist with building buck-n-rail fencing and revegetating overused areas to restore the natural landscape. The project will take place from 9 AM to noon.
