The Chaffee Rec Adopters program continues to make a significant impact on our public lands, thanks to the dedication of community volunteers. With over 2,000 hours of volunteer time contributed so far, these efforts are vital in managing the increasing outdoor visitation in our area. Volunteers play a crucial role in monitoring land conditions and working alongside land managers to address environmental impacts.

Their next event is set for tomorrow at the Tunnel View area along the Arkansas River, just north of Buena Vista. This is an excellent opportunity for those who love the outdoors to give back and help preserve these spaces for future generations.

Additionally, on Saturday, September 14, Valley Fellowship Church will host its annual cleanup in the South Cottonwood Creek area. This event is another chance for volunteers to come together and make a tangible difference in our local environment.
