Chaffee County Moves Up Re-Opening for Hotels and Motels

Chaffee County will be gradually reopening to visitors, tourism, and leisure starting Monday, May 18th.

Chaffee County Public Health has decided to gradually reopen hotels and motels and will be amending its Public Health Order to reflect the lifted restrictions.

Hotel and motel owners are now completing the Safe Business Certification process and may reopen Monday, May 18th at 25% occupancy.  On May, 22nd, occupancy is increased to 50%, and if the trend of COVID-19 cases remains stable, occupancy may be expanded to 100% on June 1st.

Short-term vacation rentals, non-state campgrounds, and private RV parks remain closed at this time.
