Chaffee County Commissioners yesterday denied a major impact review for Cool Clear Water Townhouses.
Matt Lamar and Joe Edward Cooper wanted to create six 2-unit townhouses and a single family residence on individual lots on 26 acres at County Road 160 and 163.
The main reason the commissioners voted unanimously to deny the development was that the area is rural and should remain that way, and the townhouses would be used as short-term rentals, creating more traffic than if they were single family homes.
