Chaffee County Commissioners are holding two important meetings this week. Today, they are conducting a work session to review board appointments for the airport and visitors bureau while receiving updates from Mountain Valley Transit and Sol Vista Health. The session will conclude with a tour of the Chaffee County Detention Center.

Tomorrow at 9 AM, commissioners will convene a regular meeting featuring several significant agenda items. They will discuss a $108,000 contract with Prepared911 to provide translation software for the Chaffee County Sheriff’s dispatch services. Additionally, appointments will be made to the Planning Commission, Common Ground Citizens Advisory Committee, and the Chaffee Housing Authority Board. Financial allocations from Blue Triton Brand’s Extended 1041 permit and fiscal sponsorships for local initiatives supporting forest health, rural landscapes, and growth impacts will also be considered. The meeting will begin with a proclamation honoring Annette Stolba for her 42 years of service in the Chaffee County Communications Center.
